At A to Zyrg we are huge believers and follwers of Responsible Gambling. Our philoposy and betting methodology is not to try and become overnight millionaires with every bet but with an initial aim being “not to lose”.

From A to Zyrg is not here to tell you how to bet, what to bet on or how much of your funds you should be investing. Those are your decisions. The information that we aim to provide is to help you make those judicious decisions for yourself.

We will, of course, provide you with an explanation of the information on this site.

The middle Column is the TAB number (saddle cloth) number and is the number(s) we use when placing a bet. It also helps us identify our runner when we are watching the race.

Each race that we provide data for will have a Table A.

Table A is where we record our selections for each race, based on the data calculations from our Stables A through I. The first column shows which stable, that has become a qualified race, based on the various calculations from our data, it is.

The middle column on Table A is the TAB number or saddle cloth number hat the selected horse will carry in the race.

We use this number as the identifying number when placing our bets.

The end column in Table A is the important figure to take note of. The amount shown is the minimum amount that this horse should be paying before you put money on it to WIN.

It is calculated on this Stables winning percentage or winning Strike Rate over the previous 12 months.

An example of how this calculated is: “A” Stable has a winning percentage of 26%, The calculation, 1/(1*26%) gives a price of $3.80.

If you only invest on selections from this Stable that are paying $3.80 or higher, you will be in profit provided the winning percentage is maintained.

This figure, if there has been any changes, will be updated at the end of each month.

Do we at Form A to Zyrg follow this figure 100% of the time? The easy answer is NO. This is where we come to Table B.

For each race for which we supply suggestions, we have a computer model that not only ranks each horse in order but supplies us with another price. These “tissue“ prices are also used in our decision making on how we will invest on each race. Therefore, if our “tissue” price is lower than the price in Table A, we may still place a bet on this horse provided we consider the price available to be value.

The defintion of a tissue price is basically being the unofficial odds. Many serious punters as well as bookmakers will make their own tissue odds before releasing their official odds.

The Price Wanted is the price our computer program has calculated that this runner should start. In this case, the runner Number 2 from Column 1 has been been calculated as a $2 chance to win.

Number 9 at $4.40 etc.,

Table B

The Invest Amount is the amount of money we will have on the selected Number should we get the Price Wanted or BETTER.

In this case we would have $15 on the number 2 at $2 or better, $6.80 on number 9 at $4.40 or better etc.,

Here Column 1 is the TAB number (saddle cloth) number and is the number(s) we use when placing a bet. It also helps us identify our runner when we are watching the race.

The numbers are in ranked order 1st to 5th or 6th

The data analysis spoken about above gives us a tissue price on every horse based on a 100% market.

A 100% market is when, if you had an bet on every horse in a race to collect $100, you would spend $100 placing your bets and you would collect $100 whatever horse won. Also referred to as the market percentage.

Offical bookmaker prices can have a market percentage of around 136% when betting first begins and move down to around 118% come race time. They need to make a profit and pay their overheads.

Table B provides us with a price for a horse that is the lowest price where will we invest. The punters aim is to get that price at a minimum but hopefully a greater price. This is called an OVER.

For example,

The middle column on Table B is the minimum price at which we will have a bet on the horse (TAB in the 1st column).

The last column tells us how much we will invest if we get this price or hopefully a bigger price.

In Table B, the amount in the last column is a calculation to collect $30 on each selection in the table.

You adjust this to how much you want to invest.

So, if the middle column show $3.00 the last column will show $10.00. $3 x $10 = $30.

As we have said, we want to get a price better than $3.00. Let’s assume we get a price of $5.00.

You will still invest the $10.00 shown in the last column and if this horse wins we collect $5 x $10 or $50

As our prices are set to 100% we will never invest more than $30 on a race even in the rare event we can achieve the price we want on every selection.

Once again, we are not telling you how to bet, or how to invest but we are making our suggestions to give you the best chance of becoming and sustain being a profitable investor with the bookmakers.

At A to Zyrg, we have been successful in remaining consistant punters by playing with the bets known as “exotics”. The four main types of exotics are shown in Table C.

We particularly like “playing” the exotics when we cannot achieve the price we wanted on a runner from Table B.

We take the runners we could not place a win bet on and put them “on top” (to win) in an Exacta, Trifecta or First 4.

We place the other runners that we backed to win from Table B as the place getters in the exotics.

This gives us a better chance of winning on the race as we could get the correct result whichever on of 5 or 6 horses winning the race.
